i recommened trying comodo firewall + av always been brilliant for me
i recommened trying comodo firewall + av always been brilliant for me
i second that using a separate av and firewall than one of the combined suites is much better
thats my experience anyway
kaspersky and comodo are good but have to instal kaspersky before comodo which is annoying
I use Avast at home and AntiVir at work. Both equaly good but Avast gets the nod for not having that annoying screen every morning when you boot up.
I do believe that the best antivirus for Windows 10 is Windows Defender.
I do believe that there is no specific antivirus which can fulfill the needs for all users. An antivirus software can be perfect for a user can be useless for the other. The choice of antivirus totally depends upon the requirement of the users. If the user has very less online work and remains indulged in offline work for most of the time, then any good antivirus software would be fine for them. In case, the user has much of its work in online mode by doing financial transaction, shopping, paying bill, credit card payments, then I would recommend use of any Total Security Antivirus like Bitdefender Total Security or F-Secure Total which would be able to provide extremely advanced protection against all sought of online cyber threats which can steal confidential financial information of the user when he/she makes a transaction online.

After going well over a decade with nothing but windows defender built in stuff, I tried a few AVs on my and my mum's PC. The best I've used so far these past few months, and the recommendation I would have, is malwarebytes. It doesn't slow things down, it's fast efficient easy to use and well crafted. It's very cheap with a one year key from a third party. It's peace of mind, if nothing else. And I would happily recommend.

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
That's what she said.
Very Old indeed
Coincidence! Yesterday I saw a report on a newsfeed that rated Windows Defender above Avast - it scored 17.5 out of 18 (Avast was 17), so just below Kapersky etc.
Does seem though that WD monitors only IE and Edge; Avast monitors all browsing activity (BICBW).

It is the time of year for Resurrection. Maybe every time there's a privacy scare people think of upgrading. I'm sure it weaves through other threads, but keeping up to date with security and privacy are a good theme.
What you think about new panda antivirus??
AVG is one my Fav. antivirus, I'm using it since 2015 on my laptop and working like a charm. Good one.
Another vote for Comodo from me, I've been using it for a number of years across multiple pcs and it's always been reliable.
