    Vista and my HD3870

    Ok,

I was thinking of updating my gaming rig to Vista.

However, when I run the vista upgrade check tool it states that there might well be conflicts with my Sapphire 3870 graphics card and vista itself.

I'm really not wanting to change the OS and then find my gfx card doesn't work

    Suggestions?

nah, it should be fine, just grab the latest catalyst for vista and you should be up and running

    Thanks mate.

It's just that a few new games come out saying "vista only"

Hehe, the HD3870 is fine in Vista, regardless of the version.

It was after all released after Vista itself. It would be a fairly major talking point had it not worked.

There may be more now, but the only games I know of off the top of my head which were "Vista only", were Shadowrun and Microsoft's Halo 2?
Whatever though... all other games will run under either XP or Vista... and the HD3850 will play all of them at high/reasonably high settings
