I need a good PDF printer driver for my Windows XP laptop. I want to be able to 'print' documents from applications like MS Office to a PDF file. Do any of you have any recommendations?

there was a program called win2pdf - or open office will import word files and output them as pdf - bit of a convoluted way of doing it though.

I second cutepdf, used it for years work and home.
CutePDF or the Microsoft plugin for Office 2007.
Another is PDFCreator, also free. Only 32-bit though - doesn't work on XP64 or Vista 64-bit (not that that's an issue for the OP).
I'll take a look at CutePDF as it apparently works in Vista 64-bit.
+1 for CutePDF
Cheers, guys. Went with CuteFTP in the end. It does the job perfectly. This is a work laptop so i've only got Office 2003 on it so cannot use the Office 2007 PDF writer.
PDFCreator is quite a good one and available at sourceforge.net
I've been using PDFCreator for a while now.
I noticed the last time I installe dit you can install it on a server and have it come up as a network printer. So you can connect to it through a login script for network users.
