Designing a site for a friend ..but I could do with some ideas

    Hi,

I am designing a website for a friend and so far this is what I have:

    http://duxx.vndv.com/

There a a few pages where I haven't got all the info and I'm thinking off putting a google map on the about us page...but I'm not too sure if it's appropriate.

Anyway I'm just not really happy about it and it definitely lacks something.

Any ideas or advice would be great.

    Thanks.

My biggest worry with it is the abrubt joins between the sections. Is it not possible to make the coloured bars blend into one another more effectively?

In terms of content, it's fine though, you've got everything important on the site in terms of information and the navigation is simple enough to follow. The main thing I'd change is to turn the "About Us" section into a true description of the company and a little about it's history and move the contact details to the "Contact Us" section.

You also need to capitalise the auto remarks in the Contact Us form

    (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/) (\___/)
    (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=) (='.'=)
    (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(") (")_(")

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!

Re: Designing a site for a friend ..but I could do with some ideas

A few little things I would do:

Firstly, I'd stick an off-white background for the whole centre frame - to help offset the page from the whitespace on the left/right - something darker than white, but lighter than the block with the bits that he specialises in.

Next, the rollover buttons seem a bit too green, almost neon-ish. Perhaps you could tone it down to the same green that you have in the main title 'V J Nathan' block - would help it blend with the rest of the colours.

Next, purely pedantic here, but i'd give 'mainbackground.gif' a square top-right edge, the curves at the bottom look fine, but the curve on the top right looks a bit 'lost' - although might be ok if the centre section had an off-white background (see first point lol)...

Also, the green in the bottom bar seems to be slightly darker than the darkest part of the green in the title bar - might look better if they matched a bit more?

Hope this helps, if can think of anything else useful i'll let you know
