no idea what acpi stands for, but since i reinstalled Windows 2003 in device manager my computer is now showing as a 'Standard PC', rather than the ACPI which it *should* be.. as a result of this when i choose shutdown, it tells me that 'it is now safe to turn off your computer'
is there a way to get it to realise its got ACPI support (or whatever the definition is), rather than being a piece of crap? without reinstalling a third time...
