My normal computer with XP on it gave up a while back and we have just baught a iMac but cod2 installer isnt working and it cant find/i dont know what program to use to install it, this computer is quite capable of running it 2GB Ram 800Mhz and a 2600XT i think it is and core 2 duo, its just the problem of getting it installed

CoD2 has a 'Platinum' rating on the WineHQ AppDB, so I can't imagine that it would be that horrific on a current iMac.

Ah right. Not being an OS X user, I wouldn't have thought there would be significant penalties with Wine on the platform. I guess the Wine->(maybe X11->)Aqua interface could do with more polish.

Yes i know bloody mac's but its my mums not mine so i just wanted to play it on something till i get my PC
naa its not the Mac version it sthe speical edition version with the extra bonus DVD rubbish lol..is theere no easy way?

Options:
a) buy an OS X port of CoD2.
b) dualboot with windows.
c) buy a new computer.
d) attempt to use wine, sounds as if it will be awful.
e) perhaps VMware Fusion running windows, it will probably be awful.
If none of these are acceptable, then you'll have to do without.
bear in mind that running a game designed for one OS on another OS is like shoving a xbox 360 disk in a ps3 and expecting results
