    Help Please

    hey guys,
I have written a script that will do certain things on automatic resume, such as stop some services etc... but i dont want it to do these things if i resume manually. I have wrote the script in vbs and used the win32_PowerManagementEvent thingy to watch for automatic resume message etc... However it seems my pc sends the automatic resume message if i resume manually as well as sending the manual resume message which means my script always runs on any resume which sucks. Anyone know a way to have a program or script run on automatic resume only? The script runs a batch file so any way of running it on automatic resume only would be great... or any ideas...thanks...

    Re: Help Please

    hi crazyfool,

would you be able to post the code you have already? it would be quite helpful to see what you have setup already. Then we could see how difficult it would be to adjust the code, or see if there is another way of doing it.

I think the Win32_PowerManagementEvent class have two types of resume values
7 Resume From Suspend (which I belive is manual)
    18 Resume Automatic

I confess I dont script very often.... but I remember this from a while back
