It's certainly easier if your employer is a large media giant with several spare dual quad-core Macs that you can run the SMP client on and not have to pay elec. bill yourself ...

If I change jobs, I wonder how long it'll take them to notice the unusual processes firing at 11pm?

I have 3 power macs or whatever they're called, the really expensive nice ones, at work. That could get me a lot of points!

The big problem with my computer was again the SMP client it just stopped doing anything one day and after leaving it for a few months I removed it from my computer.

Have you looked at the amount of inactive folders in the team? I know some are unused duplicate accounts, but still, there's a lot fallen by the wayside

Credit crunch biting or just didn't get round to re-installing etc?

I will only run folding when the computer is on for other reasons, and got fed up spending 6 days crunching on a WU only to be told the deadline had expired and it was worthless.

And currently I can't download WUs

So... will my X1950 pro fold better than e6400 cpu? if so I'm gonna knock the SMP on the head as somehow me PPD has almost halved since the re-install

For the past few months the majority of my machines have been without net access, its only been my laptop that can be online. That should change in the next couple of days once I get this wireless bridge working!

But cant keep stuff running as much as I used to, due to me having no monies to speak of

Well I just run the GPU client & that only runs when i'm at home & using the PC, so a fw hours a day. Still beats the ass off the CPU client.
