    Outlooks Auto Archive Feature..

Is it just me not using it right or am I missing something...

I've got it set to archive everything over 6 months old on a 14 day interval.

However its not actually moving stuff from my normal pst file into the archive.pst.

Now, call me mad but should it not be creating folders in the archive.pst and then moving emails over 6 months old and deleting them from the standard pst file..

Its not doing tho, even when I do a forced archive...

Isn't that the way Outlook's always done it? Pain such as it is.

simple answer...dont use it , its useless - especially when you run exchange. why copy mails from your nice well backed up server to a file in the user profile of a laptop thats someone only going to steal / wipe the porfile off when space gets low.

Remember that archiving works by the modified date. If you have moved emails or anything else has changed on them, you have just reset their modified date.

Please, please, PLEASE stop pimping this. Your post has nothing to do with the OP's initial query, in much the same way as 90% of your other posts.

I'll report this post too and see if the mods want to do anything with it this time.
