    Floor Planning Software

    Hey guys,

I just wanted to know if anyone know if there is a software where you can design floor layouts and possibly put designs to create a 3D room.
basically i am thinking of extending my house and want to see what it will look like virtually first.

Take a look at Google Sketchup, really easy to use I'm currently making some ram legs that I've measured out and I've just started using it today. The tutorial page on the sketchup site helps alot.

    Yep Sketchup for the win.

You can also render the models to make them look photorealistic, i personally use kerkythea for that and highly recommend it.

Yep make sure to get the Bonus pack as it'll have lots of other things to visualize how the room or house will look like, chairs, tables, plants etc.

If you don't want to download all the packs then you can just search for a single object in the 3D Warehouse

Glad to see you like it, it's a really neat program.
