Software for compressing DVD's for playback on a PSP

Does anyone know of any free software to compress DVD's so that they can be viewed on a PSP? I understand that it uses a certain format, but not sure how to actually compress them.

MP3's work fine, but it would be nice to watch my DVD's on it too.

    I use : http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

You have to copy DVD VOB ? Files to you hdd then import them to Super

Obviously if you have an encrypted DVD, you have to De-Crypt them appropriately First

Re: Software for compressing DVD's for playback on a PSP

Found this on the Sony website, didn't think about looking there before! Anyone used it? I've downloaded and installed it but it won't run without the PSP plugged in and I'm currently at work so can't see what it's like until I get home.

    Oh here's the link
    http://www.winnydows.com/page.php?2

It is updated frequently. The community that use it is quite large, the developer takes on board suggestions from forums all the time and it is thus developing quite rapidly
