    virtual pc / vmware

    hi guys,

just burned a sp3 slip disc for new hdd, but before i let it anywhere near the shinny new tin i want to test it out and make sure it has been correctly compiled. so i d/l virtual pc, install it - but at the last moment during the installation it rolls back and says that installation couldn't be completed. ok, so i get a copy of vmware and it does exactly the same thing.

so question is has anyone come across this issue and know why it's happening? and how to get around it, and what is the easiest way to check if a slipped disc is correct if you know what i mean.

.......and before you ask i cant check it against my sp2 disc because i've just damaged it moving my pc deck chair, and in my attempts to clean my existing hdd a bit i've deleted the folders created for slipstreaming.

Just use Vlite - reduces the chance of anything going wrong a lot.
