    File Sync and Backup Software

i'm looking for a good, reasonably powerful, file syncing and backup software to run under Windows. It should also work between PC's across a LAN.

    any suggestions appreciated.

The original Windows backup will backup across a lan, although not to a remote tape drive (at least I can't see a way of doing that) but you could backup to a remote drive and tyhen back that up to tape.

i would really recommend winzip pro version, as it has the scheduled backup builtin and so far it has been backing up every day for 2 years over lan for me personally
