    Vista 64 install games issue

I have recently had a change in my job situation which has lead to me installing a lot more games than usual.

This morning my copy of Dead Space arrvived, and so I dutifully installed it and I am now sat here looking for the shortcut in the start menu. Same thing happened with Spore and with several other games. I can run them fine from the exe and make shortcuts of course but why are some games making the start menu entry and some not even seemingly brand new games.

    Any ideas?

Same problem here with some games and even demos. I'm guessing they're putting the folders in the wrong place as it's changed for Vista. It could be putting it in the all users start menu instead of your one direct etc.

Re: Vista 64 install games issue

Anybody else noticed the number of games with an OCX error dialog that pops up 7 tiems?

I get that on pretty much all my EA games except for BF2 which is 3 years old.

Come to think of it, all the older games seem to work perfectly (BF2, supp comm, company of heroes and sins of a solar empire) but the newer ones as mentioned don't, both spore and dead space have the OCX issue.
