Is it possible to get rid of all the buttons etc that you get in explorer, using javascript?
Doesn't have to be cross browser compatible - just needs to work with explorer
cheers

Right click and "customize" can get rid of them if thats what you mean?
I'm writing an ASP program that will be run over a LAN.
However, the end user has said that they don't want any of the buttons that ie shows - so like an F11 screen without the buttons. Could be beneficial, as this would mean the user can only use the buttons I give them on the screen so can't duplicate entries by pressing back etc.
Need to do it automatically when the system loads up though, hence the javascript requirement.
you can do it in javascript:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...ods/open_0.asp
that way will only work for a new window when opened with an existing browser window though.
what you can do is open your browser to xxx url. this url then opens a window without any toolbars, and closes the window xxx url was loaded in, leaving your new toolbar-nekkid window
Hope that makes sense
depending on the amount of control you have e.g. if you're setting up a shortcut on the user's desk then adding the -k switch to iexplore will open it in kiosk mode.
Try it by going to start -> run and the then type iexplore -k
