SourceForge Alternatives
I'm working on a Visual Basic project and I want to put it on a SourceForge-like website to aid distribution when the time comes.
While it will be freeware, I'm not ready to make it open source, though in the future I may well do. This means that I cannot publish my program on SourceForge - OSS only.
So, what alternatives are there for distibuting freeware software, with no costs involved?
Cheers,
Kez.
Edit: Well slap my thighs this might be better off in Programming/Web Development!

Freshmeat?

Says they prefer open source, but don't think it's a requirement.

I've seen that, but my software is not open source, unix based, or cross platform, so I reckon it'd be a bit out of place!
Cheers though.

whats the application for ?
you coudl try releasing to

download.com has a $79 "processing fee" but I'll examine the others more closely, cheers.
The application is a network monitoring tool - it checks servers, printers, routers & websites and reports back on their status. Once it's finished it'll be good for diagnosing LAN problems. It's aimed at medium to large size LAN's.
