    Internet access

Running Vista 64 bit. All is ok (at the present) except user 2 who cannot access the internet. Message is same as if ones internet connection is not there, but user 1 can access it anytime. Both users listed as adminstrators with same priveledges
    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Anything funky in the proxy settings? Is the network connection active, and if so can they ping the local gateway?

    Re: Internet access

Might have found the problem as user 2 cannot even access the router. If I go to Network and Sharing Center, then view status of the network connection and then go to wireless properties it states network availability Me only. How do I change this?

    Re: Internet access

Will try to get a screenshot later. Ive an Abit IP35 with a Q6600 cpu 4Gb corsair memory. The wireless card is an Edimax EW-7128G. This was recommended by Scan as being Vista compatible. Have loaded the Edimax Vista driver which is supposedly 64bit compatible. As I said before its ok if I use the internet but it won't allow my wife on. Another item re the edimax is that if I put the PC to sleep, upon wakening the Edimax card is not seen until a restart.

    Thanks

ok, is the adapter using the windows zero config service or does it use some other software to manage the connection?

    Re: Internet access

    Hi
Problem solved. Appears user2 wasn't connected to any network. Once I told it to connect to the wireless network its fine. Im sure I never had to do this on XP for user2. Anyway thanks for all the time you've taken to respond. Cheers
