Hi Hexus, I been getting this problem recently when ever I try to send an email:-

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Cool Video
Sent: 24/10/2008 22:47

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

Kim (********@yahoo.co.uk) on 24/10/2008 22:47
550 relay not permitted

This message automatically appears in my inbox as soon as I click send. When I check account settings, all seems fine? even when I send a test email etc.

Any idea?

How recent is recent? Try checking your ISP's escalation tracker.

Well that one was the first from a few days ago, but I tried again tonight, a coupel of times...same reply message appears.

Sorry, could you explain to me how i'd go about checking my ISP's escalation tracker?

I'm sending this via my own domain name email btw, and my web hosts settings, not my isp's email boxes.

550 relay not permitted

That's the actual error message, and the error is being reported by your mail server.

It could be either an issue with local setup, or a problem on the server. Have you been sending mails fine with you current configuration before? If so maybe there have been some settings changed on the mail server.

ahh thanks for the replies guys, i managed to sort it out last night - it was an error on my part after i reformated my laptop, I over looked a setting I had applied before.

to do with the SMTP authorization.
