Got it running off of a 4Gb USB Stick as my drives are AHCI.
Where the fapp is the keyboard layout thing, I've had a poke about and its all set right as far as I can se ehit the keyboard layout appears to be US...

I use it (it's embedded on the motherboard I have) but not in anger so i probably haven't tried what you're asking - sorry

I just wanna know if its something obv I'm missing as to my keyboard being a US one instead of a UK one...

Ok so i'm in it now - i hit configuration panel (on the launchbar at the bottom of the screen) and choose language and keyboard - and hey presto both set to UK.

Yeah mine says its set to English (English) and the keyboard is set to United Kingdom, when I press the "at" key I get " and when I press for the speech marks I get @ so its set to US as far as I can tell, slightly newer version that you tho, 1.3.8.0 which is the latest for the board apparently...
Mmm weird - 1.3.3.1 is still listed as latest for the P5Q Deluxe on the asus site..

Well I've downloaded the older version ,gonna give it a spin in a mo, wouldnt of theought HDD or SSD would make any odds tho...
Right, in there now on the same version as you and I not have an @ key in the right place.
Wonder if I upgrade over the top it'll work if I save the user settings, or failing that I could just leave it as it is and not piss about with it
Sorry I can't be of more help tbh - trying to work out why fallout 3 keep crashing after i patched it (arrrghh)

Nah thats fine chap, if you hadn't suggested an earlier version I wouldn't of bothered with it.
However, have you noticed it seems to take a while for the EG os thing to pick up hardware, was on youtube and it was palying the videos fine but with no sound, then after a few minutes it started playing the sounds as well...
