    Re: Windows XP Pro x64

If Vista x64 is working for you then there isn't any point in downgrading to XP64.

XP64 does have some driver and software support issues. Microsoft never insisted on XP64 drivers, but they did with Vista. To get Vista certification, a product needed both 32bit and 64bit drivers (or at least drivers that would work on both).

Apparently Server 2003 drivers will often work on XP64, but thats only for a small amount of devices and i think it's a bit of a hack to be honest.

    Re: Windows XP Pro x64

yeah but you would be downgrading every time you dual boot

Just for reference, i'm using Vista64bit here and not had a single problem with it. System specs are to the left

    Re: Windows XP Pro x64

I have XP 64 bit and all I can say is it is temperamental and a little flaky.
It has to have two registry's and two program files and two IE's for that it takes up a lot more room.
I can play most games on it, even some of the older ones.
I will however be duel booting to Vista 64 bit very soon.
