    IE7 and untrusted SSL Certs

I run my own exchange server and I have a self issued SSL cert (None tursted) In firefox it warns me that its not from a trusted source, I install it and then it never bothers me again. In IE7 it says that its not safe, I install it and the next time I go to the website it says the same!

I have installed it using Admin rights and it just keeps doing this all the time.

Does anyone else have this issue and know of a way for IE7 to accept installed SSL certs?

    EDIT

    the exact error is this...

The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority

I have worked this one out. You have to install it and then maunaly add the site to your trusted sites list in IE7 (including the https://)... what a stupid setup that is!

Self signed certs are a bit of a PITA!
However, I've never bought a trusted cert and played with installing it to a server yet. But it does sound like you've sorted this.
Was going to ask if it was XP or vista you were getting this error too?

    Vista.

The certs are used to encrypt the login for webmail so its better than nothing!

Aye, With Vista you need to dump the cert in a specific cert store on the machine for it to play right - found this out when I couldn't get Outlook over RPC working on a vista machine!
