official site
trend micro took it over earlier this year.
it's a manual removal process, not click and remove like you get with some other scanners
it is usually used with other tools and requires a bit of knowledge
if u need to ask then its not for you
I always advise people to install an easy Linux distro such as Ubuntu if they don't need Windows for any specific purpose. Microsoft doesn't seem to be able to make a safe operating system. Vista is still not safe, costs a lot of money and you have to fork out even more cash to fill up the safety holes.
I know a lot of security sites ask ppl to post the logs from hijack this to help resolve spyware issues.
In that respect anyone can use it. Just as long as they dont start deleting the stuff them selves

By all means advocate that people try an alternative operating system, but signing up to a site and posting nothing other than "you should all ditch Windows" in threads which are only slightly, possibly vaguely related to the operating system is not the way to get people to switch.
You may not like Vista, or Windows in general however this attitude is the reason I try not to associate myself with the linux community (despite being an active user) wherever possible. It's the same attitude that some Mac users have been spouting forever (My OS rools, your's drools) and it helps nobody.
Welcome to Hexus, btw.
