I've been using Vista for a few months, but I find myself missing things I've taken for granted under XP (and earlier Windows). I don't know them all on top of my head, but they do bug me when I come across them, so I'll use this thread to check if what I am looking for is not just buried in an option somewhere.
1. Under XP, the 'Status bar' showed the number of files and folders in the current folder and as well the total size of all the files in the current folder without the need to highlight anything.
Under Vista, I only see '# items' whenever I navigate to a folder. If I want to get more details (e.g. Size of all the files), I have to press Ctrl+A first. Is there any way to rid of this inconvenience (get it back to XP style)?
