Have a domain setup, Windows 2003 Server. For a while now, I haven't been able to use the right click -> Run As command, enter in my login and install software without the user logging off. It comes up about you do not have sufficient privileges to access this. Despite me then logging on and being able to access the resource. Is it a setting in group policy somewhere? I have sifted through but can't see anything obvious.
Does it work from command line? And are you sure you don't me shift+right click>run as?
right click on the application , go to properties and click unblock
its a security thing when software crosses zones ( ie from an untrusted source ) windows blocks its execution

OK next dumb question, how do you add trusted sources, is it locally done or a policy thing?
good question - its to do with the IE zones setup ( security tab in IE options ) - generally once you've unblocked a file you can copy it to other servers on your LAN without the problem reoccuring.

Does this mean next time I get a SP for an MS server I should read what it changes. Shhesshh. When did reading Microsoft stuff become compulsory?
