    Memory

    Currently running an Intel Q6600 cpu with 4GB of ram to edit HD video, would going to 8GB show any noticeable difference bearing in mind cost is only about £35. Also using Vista 64 bit OS Thanks

    It depends on how you edit the video. But if would probably make a good deal of difference to Premiere, for example.

    Sony doesn't specify if that programme has a 64bit version, so I'm implicitly guessing it doesn't. In which case, 8GB wont make a difference.

    I have 4 gigs and under LINUX anyway, I never crack the fist of four... Windows on the other hand is a bloated whale and I easily hit 2-3 gigs.
