    contact forms...?

asked this elsewhere but throwing it this way in case someone here has some clever thinkings too...I'm currently going through a re-do of my website, the existing one has a php form implemented as a plugin within wordpress - which it runs off - but was hoping to get away from everything run through that and so need to put in a new contact form. I was wondering about using a javascript one instead to make it a bit neater and streamlined. php is ok but bit clunky but the examples I've found seem to need a couple of further pages coded to go with the form as well i.e. an 'accepted' page or an 'error' page. Ideally I'd rather have something that fits into one page; not refreshing into another etc.
Had a scan with google but none the wiser. any bright ideas etc how to implement something like that, and stick it into a page?

    Re: contact forms...?

Apparently (I say apparently because I haven't done this myself) it would be relatively easy to use one of the AJAX frameworks that are kicking about now to do all this.

You could then have a nice dynamic dialog pop up saying the form was sucessfully submitted, just like Facebook pops up messages when you add friends etc. The script would then send XML to your server for further processing, i.e. storing in a DB or sending you an email.

Yeah as Funkstar says, I'd be very surprised if there wasn't already a framework with this, if not...

I've used that before for a mate's site.
