Just got an email from our monkey's, err, our helpdesk...
I haven't seen it yet, but I wouldn't be stupid enough to open an attachment anyway. Now, this may be all well and good... but the prats actually included the .zip file with the virus in the warning message!!All Users
please beware that their are false messages in circulation indicating xxxxxxxxx IT have sent the message, an example: -
Please do not open the attachment as that is the virus. Any email of this content encounter should be deleted.Dear user of xxxxxxx.COM,
Your e-mail account will be disabled because of improper using in next
three days, if you are still wishing to use it, please, resign your
account information.

For security purposes the attached file is password protected. Password is "06681".

Things to notice: -
We do not send messages starting 'Dear user of xxxxxxx.COM'
We end messages 'Kind Regards IT Helpdesk'

I can see that people are going to open this virus now that hasn't been sent to all of us, so instead of reducing the risk, they are increasing it.....![]()
