    Im very annoyed by this. Both mine, my mums, and my dads, and i think my nans aswell, email addresses have been sent NETSKY virus 4 times this week. None of the emails were opened though.
    megatron those subjects are the same as the ones i got, so same virus i assume. I dont know how or who is sending it, as i havent given my email address to many people. The sender address is faked.

    .pif is an executable file format, originally a shortcut to a DOS app.

    there's no reason to assume you'd ever get one as legit

    I received my first virus a few weeks a go when the my doom virus was around. Since then I have received loads, and some emails saying that I have sent a virus to other people (of course I haven't but the email they send does contain a virus). I now delete any emails that are slightly suspect.
    Who said big is best?

    Well, I get hundreds of viruses when they start spreading - some fool who I probably know will be "forwarding" them too me inadvertantly through their address book.

    Anyway, virus writers use .pif files to trick people into running them, as they aren't commonly known to be executable.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    yeah i'm gettin these too, tho afaik whats going round atm is actaully a group of worms which spread through your network when you run the pif

    the 'from' addys are all spoofed of course, hence why you may get a load of emails from mail servers rejecting mail you supposedly sent
