Few questions on Windows Media Centre

Iv just started using it with a new Kworld TV card i got hold of, however there are a few things id like to change about it but i dont know how.

First off, is there a way to remove the 'options' you have to scroll through initially, on the main menu. The videos, TV, Music, Pictures etc. As i dont listen to music, or view pictures through MCE I'd like to remove them as options i need to scroll through. Is there a way to do this?

Secondly, during TV viewing, when i select guide a lot of channels have 'not avaliable at this time' (most start at 6pm etc). Is there a way of only filtering in the channels that are avaliable?

    Thanks guys

Yep, download and run 'mc menu mender', then untick the items you don't want and restart media centre!

    Not that I know of.

I can also recommend MediaBrowser or My Movies for displaying any stored movies and tv series.

MediacenterFX is also worth considering if you want to change the media centre theme from the standard blue

Re: Few questions on Windows Media Centre

For the second point, you could use the favourites option to filter the channels out manually, but obviously this would have to be changed as the channels became available:
