I know many of you own these motherboards, how have you managed to get the chipset drivers installed on windows 7? Everytime i try i get an error saying incompatible operating system, I'm using the 64bit version.

see if there are drivers for windows server 2008 on the intel site. it might do a version check and see 6.1 instaed of vista's 6.0 kernel
When i installed Windows 7 x64, it installed most of my needed drivers, but my SM Bus remained an unknown device; the above fixed it. I got this help from Neowin earlier today, though as a sidenote, I had to do it in Safe Mode. ^_^I also have Abit IP-35. My Sata II drives scored 5.5 with default W7 drivers, only installed SMbus driver manually from device manager (extract drivers and point to that folder from device manager.

What I'm needing is a proper RAID driver, because right now my Windows Experience Index score for my hard drives is 2.-something, whereas in Vista, it is much, much higher (a 5.9 actually). So I'm thinking I may not have a good RAID driver or something... Anyone have any ideas?

When I tried installing my Creative X-Fi drivers it said the same thing.
I'm using the 64-bit version of W7 and got the 64-bit Vista drivers. I had to right click -> properties -> compatibility and set it to be compatible with Vista, then the drivers installed.
Obviously can't be sure it'll fix your problem with the mobo drivers but worth a try.
I think I'm going to try win 7 32bit
Still cannot get the drivers installed, Tried a wireless card and Lan driver. Tried it in Vista and XP SP2 Compatible, Can't seem to get the 32bit ISO either.
At this point, I'd just like to get my HDD speed up to snuff (since its questionable given the low WEI score they got) so I can ensure I'm benchmarking under similar conditions as Vista. Since the SM Bus drivers didn't help, I'm assuming I need to update the RAID drivers... Problem is I don't know which ones I need for x64 Windows 7; I'm not sure if they'd be Intel ones or JMicron ones...
Are you guys using the 64bit version?
