    Avi convertor?

    Looking for some software that will convert videos into avi, had a disk with it on for my mp4 playher but it got scratched and currupt, all the ones on google seem **** and dont work. ANy help appreciated.

    Not sure if this is what your after, but I tend to use alltoavi for avi type stuff

    Not seen that one yet, will have a look.

    In the meantime also might be worth trying Super - converts anything into anything else, found it very useful.

    I tend to use either mencoder or ffmpeg to convert media files.

    For converting I always use Handbrake... Does what is needed and can do exactly what you want

    I use xclio video converter can convert anything into everything and the device/resolution you want it for too - i highly recommend it.

    I Use AutoGK, its a great little program. I read that with my creative vision M player that the resolution width has to be no more than 640 or you get lip sync problems when viewing the avi with the tv cable.

    WinAVI stuff is usually good, but they are not free

    If you ever need to convert video files for use on an iPod I have always found Videora a very quick and easy app with the bonus of being completely free
