BOOTMGR is missing - XP error
Hi all,
By the way, it's no coincidence that i'm posting this and another thread about backing up an OS!
Just now, having restarted my system, I got the splash screen then the error message BOOTMGR is missing, press ctrl+alt+del.
I unplugged all my HDDs but the one with windows installed - no probs
I plugged in one of the others - no probs
Plug in the last one, and back to the same boot error.
So, do I have to format the problem HDD, or is there a fix available?
Thanks,
Max

Re: BOOTMGR is missing - XP error
check the 1st bootable device is the hard drives, then check the bios as you should be able to select what drive the computer looks to 1st to boot from, sounds like the 1st one is the last drive you stuck in.

So simple, why didn't I think of that? Fixed now
