    Alternative to nero CD burning

    My dads trial of nero has run out, so hes asked me to either buy it, get the bundled apdec(sp?) software to recognise the drive, or find a better free app.

    I didnt like the apdec one when i tryed it ages ago, and it caused problems with nero. Nero 5 is ok but there must be better apps by now.

    needs to be able to make music and data CD's, burn images etc... and DVD stuff would also be nice, incase i want to try on my comp with my dvdrw.

    I've been using a proggy called Deep Burner by Astonsoft. It's not quite as polished as either Nero/EasyCD but it does the job admirably. I've installed it on both my eldest kids PC's & hav had no complaints.

    Is it still as buggy as when first released ?

    The first revision of Nero 6 was a shambles.

    Nero 6 - All the nero 5 writers went the Adaptec school of crap programming and came back with first class honours!

    Seriously, I much prefer 5.5 (as I have a lisence for it and it cost me £12 with free 5.x upgrades) and has far less clutter in it.

    I'm one of those people who hates programs that try to do everything.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
