    Joining and splitting

I've got 2 DivX encoded .avi files, about 733mb and 667mb each which I'd like to join together and then split at the 700mb point to put onto 2 cds. I'd like to avoid re-encoding if possible as this has obviously already been done once.

How should I go about it?

I dont think there is a way.. use virtualdub, if u cant find a way to go without re-encoding

edit: oh yea, in virtualdub, make sure you hold down shift when selecting where to split the avi, so you are on a keyframe.. else the audio will be out of sync
