    disable error reporting?

Hello, sometimes when a program crashes it displays this message.

I just want it to close. No message. This is a Windows Server 2008 machine and nobody is logged in most of the time to close the message. If there wasn't this message, I have a bat file which would reopen it fine.

I tried going into START > RUN > "gpedit.msc" and doing this, but the message still appears when it crashes. How do it just get rid of it?

Perhaps somehow set the program to run under system service account? (Task Scheduler perhaps)

This may sound unhelpful, but would it not be more productive to find out why its crashing and fix it?

    Re: disable error reporting?

its HL2 CS:S server, it always crashes no matter what due to a 0 day memory leak. Every server ueses a batch file to restart a crashed host but this error message would stop that from working.

As far as I can tell there is no way to stop the messages popping up.

Good code from both Valve and Microsoft there!

    Re: disable error reporting?

bump? maybe someone has found out how to disable the error box in Windows Server 2008?

In Windows Server 2003 you could disable it by going into the Control Panel pressing the System icon and in the Advanced Options tab select error reporting and disable it.

    Re: disable error reporting?

You have disabled error reporting. That box is just Windows telling you a program has crashed. I don't know about you, but I'd like to know when a program has crashed. And not just quit on me.

Yeah, but this is a SERVER os. Nobody is logged in. And a bat file is supposed to restart the crashed program, if only that error message would not appear.
