If you've tried it twice and got the same error then it's probably not corrupted. Also, I think FAT (16) and FAT32 are OK to boot from.

HashTab is a pretty good add-in for Windows. Although I'm a command line junkie so I use FCIV (this does MD5 and SHA-1) and CRC (this does CRC as you'd expect).
I'd recommend using HashTab as it does all of them with a simple UI.

Well I installed it on my fairly rubbish laptop (2ghz cely, 30gb hdd, 512mb ram) just to see what its like and although it seems rather nice to use, my laptop just doesn't have the grunt for me to appreciate it or get eh full feature set going... Once I start Internet explorer it runs very slow.... so whats all this talk of it running well on netbooks? I guess this is if they have 1gb of ram?
Anyone else getting annoyed by the "This Copy of Windows is not genuine" rubbish that keeps coming up because Windows 7 is only a beta...

FAT32 will probably work, but if it doesn't try ntfs. give it a go and tell use how it goes!!!
(i used ntfs on my install btw and worked like a charm)
