nvidia drivers reported as 3.12gb?

has anyone else noticed in add/remove programs on vista that the nvidia display drivers is reported as 3.12gb?

my nVidia drivers are 2.76GB, so doesn't seem too odd tbh.

Dont you think that is alot for just display drivers?

the PhysX drivers are listed seprately.

im guessing a mis print of size im hoping.
hope it doesnt really take 3.12gb

you can get a full operating system that is 3gb.

well the actual NVIDIA folder in the root of my HD is only 132MB, so i dunno..
it could be a problem, who knows?

Windows often misrepresents hard drive space used by installed programmes. Nothing to be too concerned about.

It's probably counting the complete contents of folders written to by the Nvidia driver, e.g. c:\windows\system32

system32 is a gig on XP, and lots more on Vista wouldn't surprise me. Seen the size of your c:\windows?

I think it was 10GB for Ultimate after I installed on my PC

system 32 is 3.08 gb on vista
windows folder is 6.23gb
total of C=18gb
all my data is on another partition.

and i only reinstalling Vista like.. 3 days ago cos Windows 7 refused to boot anymore

Vista installs differently to XP, it's more akin to unpacking an install image than before, so the creation dates are when they were created on the original build system. What's the "Last Modified" date, that might be closer to when you actually isntalled.

For reference, my Nvidia drivers don't list a size at all. thats with v178.13
