    Desktop Background

    Is there a way to get windows to randomly select a desktop background from a folder each time it starts up?

    you could use that and just set it to change every few hours or so?
    i don't think there would be a way to set it to change on start-up

    or if you have Windows 7, that sort of software comes pre-bundled and it allows you to set all sorts of different types of slideshows on the desktop

    You'll be glad to know Windows 7 features a RRS wallpaper feed. Imagine it

    To answer you properly, rather than mockingly, try this;

    http://pack.google.com/screensaver.html

    Select it, point it to your "My pictures" folder and let it do its thing.

    Fail, screensaver does not equal desktop background

    Ok, but what i was wondering was weather there was a way built in, and hidden, or not often used. I have now downloaded one of the others.
