Software to automaticlly Change output frequency

Basicly i want to know if it's possible to set power dvd to automaticly change the screen output frequency from 1920x1080 60Hz to 1920x1080 24Hz for 24fps playback.

Surely this must be possible as when you run a game it changes to the settings you want.
