Well a few days ago I woke up in the morning to find my server (Windows Server 2003 Enterprise) completely locked up... Couldn't do anything except reset.
Well it just did it again. I wish I knew what's causing it
However, since I've started using this server, in event viewer/system, there have been these "acpi" errors happening every so often, and appearing in clusters of 4 or 5.
The error is as follows:
AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address (0xcf8), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Any idea what this is and how to fix it? And could it be causing my whole system to lock up?
Any help appreciated
