I work for a school, and we have 3 IT Suites (each with 30 PC's) and we currently have a paper based system for booking it.
Now i would like a web based one, that looks like a day view on a calender, showing the rooms, and the periods, and how many machines are in use.
Anybody know of any easy way to do this? or any existing program that will do this?
If it's a secondary school, get a student to write a system in Access/VB/PHP+MySQL.
If it's a school for little people, relational databases might be a little tricky :D There must be some programs kicking around

one of the neatest way's I've seen or a booking system was using a public folder in Exchange.
Each meeting room/suite has its own mailbox and assiciated calender.
To book a room , you simply "invite" it to a given meeting and it auto responds depending on if its busy or not.
does that sound doable ?

I am ripping it out, and putting in 2003 Server with XP Clients.. and for E-Mail... Exchange Server 2003... so Exchange will be there.
I will have to look into this feature when i have in up and running which should be the begining of june....

I'm not a specific schools admin , but one of my clients is a small school , complete with darn RM boxes :(
if you want it web based - dont forget the excellent OWA functionality of Exchange 2003 - or if you are super clever , integrate it into some local sharepiont portal :)
