    Question label printing software ?

Anybody know of any easy idiot proof label printing software with templates for an idiot

I've been given some unbranded sheets of labels and my Canon printer seems like too much hard work setting up the X and Y axle coordinates for every label.

    Thanks

Try 'Googling' for it or load ' open office'-free software.

I was trying to avoid google results and freeware loaded with maleware plus google doesn't tell you what the nice people of hexus like to use

    @ xirokx
Do you have a direct link to their homepage as google gave loads of results with some pointing to bar code software.

    Thanks

OpenOffice is highly recommended! A very comprehensive office suite; it is open source and not full of 'malware'. It can also support all Microsoft formats and uses its own open document format.
It has many features for creating/editing/printing labels also. Here is a quick tutorial covering a few points: http://openoffice.blogs.com/openoffice/labels/

    Re: label printing software ?

Do you mean standard sticky labels, CD labels or something else? I get the impression from the "X & Y coordinates" that it's CD labels, as standard labels are quite simple using Word (if you have it) and probably OpenOffice and other decent office suites.

For Word, most labels have a guide number, and Word knows most of these, so all you have to do is tell it which label you intend to use and it sets the template up for you. You can then use mail-merge if you want to automate the data entries.

    Re: label printing software ?

I also use open office sometimes but moreso before I started getting it done professionally. I suppose it depends on budget but I've found it much easier to get what I want from a Tamper Proof Tape company who also do custom labels and stuff. I can't remember their name though, I'd have to look it up. Just an alternative idea.
