command and conquer zero hours error

I have c&c the first decade zero hour, I can go online and what the problem is that when i try and join a game there are two different types some of the games are highlighted white and i can click on them and play online but the other games to join are darker links and when i try and join it gives me an error and said that i can not join because i have a diferent version. why can i play some online games and the others are a different version how can i play them all.. I tried to download the patchs and i can not. and i tried with my firewall on and off and got the same problem.. helpppp...

Not too sure if your gonna find a definate answer here. Have you tried google, the EA forums perhaps?

Do you get an error when you try to patch?

I would say the patch... some people play on 1.0 (from memory here) and some on 1.4 (I think the decade pack is already patched though)

In the settings what version does it say you have?
