    Smile 'Batch' MKV -> DVD.

    I've got a bunch of MKV files I want to put onto DVD(s) that can be played on a basic DVD player (connected to a basic TV).

    This is easy enough to do, but I'd like to (re)encode all the MKV files all at once, then write the DVDs at my leasure (no probs with waiting inbetween writing, or even OS restarts).

    Perhaps some kind of 'project'? Not really looked into this but I was wondering if there is a specific program I should be using? I currently use Ashampoo Burning Studio for simple DVD writing.

    The ability to add custom menu's as per Ashampoo's standard interface in a major bonus.

    Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

    Xilisoft HD Video Converter should do the job. You can list the files you want it to encode, however depending on your cpu it will do 1 file per 1 core. So in your case 2 files at once, and then it will move onto the next 2, and etc.

    Many DVD players support Divx/Xvid MPEG4 playback.
    Depends on the MKV file you get, you may be able to just remux into AVI and burn it straight away.

    TMPGEnc should do the job for you straight away if I remember correctly
    AVISynth with a simple line
    Code:
    Directshowsource("Video Path")
    in an .avs txt file should get the mkv problem sorted.

    You can search in different download archives, for example DirectFreeDownloads.com. There are some good converters.
