    Question What MSN client do you use?

    As name states...
    i use gaim but it has no webcam function anyone no a plugin for it or an alternative prog... NOT m$ msn messenger...

    Normal MSN and Plus! to get FF to take the links

    and if you use Skype there's a plugin for it that lets you use webcam with it.

    microsoft's webcam protocols and codecs are proprietary and patented, which is why unofficial clients don't support it.

    i understand someone has successfully reverse-engineered the codec, so I wouldn't be surprised to see support in GAIM within the next 6 months.

    until then, if you really need webcam support, stick with the official client.

    I use 7. It was fairly dodgy at first, but is pretty stable, compated to the BETA.

    Right now, Gaim. I don't know if Microsoft do a Linux version, and I'm perfectly happy with Gaim.

    I use GAIM, although I quite often switch back to MSN7 for the videocall function - which is brilliant really
