Well my windows partition is almost full and was checking to see why, finally found a folder in program data and its kaspersky
Anyone know why KS will take 52gb!?
Maybe you forgot that is where you hide you secret stash of adult material?
Try opening KS, settings, reports, then click clear. If this works consider changing the 'maximum file size' and 'store reports no longer than' fields to lower values. I'd also recommend updating to the latest version of KS - http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/kav_latest_versions

I'm sure if you wait a while an AV rep will respond to this thread. Their cust services are also good, try emailing them to see what you can do.
Have a look at your config - mine is set to keep logs as default and looks like this
You can set a maximum size for the logs and reduce the maximum storage period, both of which will help. That said, if yours is configured as default then I'd be very surprised if this is expected behaviour so I'd be looking at filing a bug report.
I would suggest moving to a different antivirus software. I have and always will use AVG. It doesn't take up much hard drive space and barely touches system resources.
But the virus detection rate is lower and active protection isn't anywhere near as good in AVG (as an example I managed to download the eicar test file and copy it around without AVG doing anything - it only picked it up on running/a manual scan. KS prevented me from even starting to download it). It's not bad if someone isn't prepared to pay for their AV but since the OP paid for KS I assume he wants good protection. Besides, there isn't any reason to switch to a new product, at least until the license expires - KS customer services are very good IMO and should sort the problem.
I would. Like I said their customer services are very good IMO. Even if you don't continue to use KS it might help them in resolving a bug for other customers.
