Probably isn't going to get anywhere near the downloads it would have if Windows 7 hadn't been a public RC

Installing!...
Anyone know what the major changes are or is it nothing significant?
From a quick search:
- Windows Search 4.0 for faster and improved relevancy in searches
- Bluetooth 2.1 Feature Pack supporting the most recent specification for Bluetooth Technology
- Ability to record data on to Blu-Ray media natively in Windows Vista
- Adds Windows Connect Now (WCN) to simplify Wi-Fi Configuration
- Windows Vista SP2 enables the exFAT file system to support UTC timestamps, which allows correct file synchronization across time zones.
And of course a roll up of all the scrurity patches and undates to date as well.
And here's some more detail from Gizmodo:

Will wait for it to be available through windows update
Prefer Windows 7 at the moment. See no point in downloading the updates for Vista.
FYI its coming via windows update to.
it will be smaller from windows update.
Downloaded stand alone version and installed but installation got stuck at stage of 3 for 1½ hours at 0%. Had to abandon and restore my backup image. Anyone else had this problem?
Tomorrow I'll try again from windows update

I noticed the size.
its nearly as big as the stand alone installer that works for both server 2008 and vista.
Other than service pack 2 im up to date with packages so im hoping the update is smaller than that.
at that rate you may as well download the standard alone installer.
I have already downloaded the standalone version, which is 577 MB.
Windows6.0-KB948465-X64.exe is the filename.
the standalone has approximately 10 MB of 'new updates' that i presume you can't get from the auto update, I wonder which bits they are. I have every single update installed by the way, except for the language packs.
its on and so far so good (well i aint crashed but i aint tested any games yet)
I installed SP 2 via windows update and it installed OK. I don't know if it's my imagination but boot time seems to be a little longer post SP2 install
