Windows installation problem, help anybody PLEASE.

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer? What can I do?
In my IBM X60 laptop when I am trying to install windows XP SP2 by a bootable install CD, and right when it says WINDOWS IS STARTING SETUP, I get this...
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Technical Information:

    *** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF7A56524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Even I formatted all of drive including C drive.
    Would anyone help me please.

    Welcome to Hexus!

If you have done a reformat and this is a clean re-install of windows, you could either have a damaged install disk, or a configuration problem on the machine. However I am not an expert on the error codes - have you troied the MS tech site, or just a Google search on those error messages?

    This site may help... http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum...fm/580381.html

Which suggests that there may be a virus on the machine that could cause the problem

try this: open up the bios F1 during the screen that says LENOVO the go to config -> Serial ATA and set controller mode to compatibility and then go to USB bios support is enabled. this should fix the issue i believe

If that does not work ask around here: http://forum.thinkpads.com/
