Hello, I'm trying to copy (a rather large) folder to an external HD but I keep being plagued with write protection messages preventing me from copying. The most obscure thing is that I was copying the same folder yesterday (it was taking ages yesterday so I stopped it half way through, with the intention of copying the other half today) and it was working perfectly. It tells me I need to remove write protection, but I know not how.
Whilst I'm here, I just reinstalled Windows 7 on my C drive ('twas on my E drive before in a dual boot type of way) and I can't delete the Windows folder on the E drive. "TrustedInstaller" keeps blocking me.
This is all terribly frustrating! Why can't Windows just let me look after my own files and folders?
If it's worth mentioning, my account has all the admin privileges.
Thanks,
Michael
