i did a diagnose and it could not find any problem/solution! i manage to fix it by disabling the LAN connection and enabling it but its annoying as i have to do it everytime i reboot/start the pc again
i have installed the LAN drivers from my mobo disk but it made no difference.
dont know if win 7 is incompatible with my bebox router, netgear wired hub or the actual isp?
In the case where there is an issue getting drivers (I had to find ones for my WiFi USB stick), you can usually download and install Windows Vista drivers in the place of ones specifically for Windows 7. However, for Video and a few others, you really want to try to use the Windows 7 ones. Like Agent posted, if the manufacturer hasn't released an updated driver since the days of Windows XP, then you may be out of luck for some older hardware. Some older 32bit only software will have issues under 64bit, but this is the same from XP64, and Vista64. It is a legacy software issue. You can install them and run them in the Virtual XP mode and they work (The G15 software worked like that until the G19 updated driver release, try those now). DirectX 10/11 is prebuilt into the systems. There is a 9 mode of DirectX 10, but you may need to also install full DirectX 9.0c for older games as they are trying to limit the legacy chain so that they can keep everything lean and speedy.
All things given, if you have the time and spare machine to give it a try (or a Virtual Machine) I say do so. You can see what everything is like ahead of time and make plans based on that. Things should only get more compatable and streamlined as they move closer to Final Release from their steps at beta and now Release Candidate. You can get the Release Candidate for free from Microsoft at: tinyurldotcom/9agzvs (Replace the "dot" wiht a period ".")
i am already using the RC version and my hardware is only half a year old. see my sig, i have a i7 rig
The fact that it works at all suggests it is compatible, but something isn't set up right. How long is the lease set for in your router? It could be something as simple as your router assigning an IP address for your mac address and refusing to give it another/the same one when requested again after a reboot because it thinks you've already got one.
Make sure your network chip is set to obtain everything automatically and have a look at your router IP lease set up.
If you open a command window all the usual ipconfig commands work, so you can view, release and renew the DHCP connections to see if the IP your computer has is matching the one the router is expected it to have.

cool i will try that later on. im sure my network is setup to automaticly get the ip address etc automaticly. if not then how do i set it up to do so?
the bebox is very limited in options and doesn't specify any options for adjusting the lease time
I couldn't get some of the software for my Acer Laptop to work but it wasn't a problem really as I could use the built-in power options. Also have some slight issues with Serato Itch.
